The 2018 Annual Report for Cinemateca Brasileira
highlights the ongoing institution’s restoration of its film archive

The report design focused on the screening. The central rectangles on chapter openings, the juxtaposition of images and the color palete refer to the act of screening - the darkness of the projection rooms creates an unique palete of shadowy colors coming from the brightness of the screen. The book spine carries the image of a film negative, marking the year’s main project when seen along the other years’ books.
